How do I upgrade, downgrade or switch to yearly billing?

Change your plan, credit volume or billing cycle: when it starts, what you pay and what happens to your credits.

Written by Thomas Danninger

Short answer: Open Billing, choose the plan, credit volume or billing cycle you want under Compare plans and confirm the change. Upgrades start right away and you pay the prorated difference today. Moving down starts at the end of your current billing period.

Before you start

  • Only the account owner can change the plan. Team members see a note with the owner's email address instead.

  • These steps apply to subscriptions billed by us. If you subscribed in the app through Apple, the Billing page says Managed by Apple and you change the plan in your Apple subscription settings.

  • All prices on the page exclude VAT.

Step 1: Open Billing

Click your name at the bottom of the left sidebar, then click Billing. The page is called Plan & billing. At the top, Your subscription shows your plan, price and next invoice date. Compare plans further down is where you make changes.

Step 2: Choose what you want to change

  • Plan: pick Lite, Pro or Business. For Enterprise click Let's talk and send us your request.

  • Credits per month: use the Monthly credits dropdown on the plan card. You can also step the credit volume up or down in the Your subscription card.

  • Extra brands and team seats: if your plan offers them, step them up or down in the Your subscription card, then click Review changes.

  • Billing cycle: switch between Monthly and Yearly above the plan cards. The saving is shown next to Yearly.

The button on the card tells you what will happen: Upgrade, Downgrade, Increase volume, Reduce volume or Pay annually.

Step 3: Review and confirm

A window opens that shows your plan today and after the change. It also shows what you pay: Charged today, the recurring price and the date of your next invoice. Check it, then click Confirm change.

If your bank needs to confirm the payment or the card is declined, we send you to a payment page. The change is applied as soon as that invoice is paid.

A move to a cheaper recurring price always waits for the end of the paid period, even if the plan you pick is a larger one.

What happens to your credits?

  • Upgrade: your new monthly credits count right away. Credits you already used this month stay counted, so you get the difference, not a fresh start. If processing was paused because you ran out of credits, replient.ai processes your latest open comments again after the upgrade (up to 100, 20 of them with AI reply suggestions).

  • Downgrade: you keep your current credits until the end of the period. The lower amount starts with the next period.

  • No rollover: unused plan credits do not carry over to the next month, not even on a yearly plan. You get your credits every month.

  • One-time credits (top-ups): they are not affected by a plan change and stay valid for 12 months.

Switch to yearly billing

  1. Open Billing and set the switch above the plan cards to Yearly.

  2. Click Pay annually on your current plan.

  3. Check the amount in the window and click Confirm change.

⚠️ Important: You cannot switch from yearly back to monthly yourself. The button is disabled and its tooltip says to contact support. If you are not sure yet, start monthly and switch to yearly later. To go back from yearly, contact us in the chat.

Withdraw a scheduled change

After you schedule a downgrade, Your subscription shows Your plan changes to … on …. Click Keep current plan to withdraw it before that date.

Good to know

  • Downgrades can be blocked while you use more than the new plan includes. The plan card then says how many brands or team members to remove first.

  • If you are still in your free trial, the button is Subscribe and takes you to a secure checkout page. You can enter your VAT ID there.

  • Current prices and credit volumes are on our pricing page.
