Short answer: Open Insights → Comment analytics for your comments and Insights → DM analytics for your direct messages. Both pages show the date range you pick (the last 7 days by default) and compare it with the period of the same length before it. Time saved is an estimate: 40 seconds per automated comment, 30 seconds per manual reply and 20 seconds per hidden or liked comment. A number that stays at zero usually means there is no data for the range, a filter is active, or the page still shows cached data.
Before you start
Team members need the permission to see analytics.
DM analytics needs the Pro plan or higher and a connected Facebook or Instagram account. Other platforms do not share direct messages.
Date range, comparison and filters
The controls at the top right work the same on both pages. Only Comment analytics has the filters.
Updated … ago (1): Results are cached for up to 30 minutes. This label shows how old the numbers are.
Filter icon (2): Narrow the numbers by brand, Platforms, Post type or Specific posts. Click Reset filters to go back to your current brand. While a filter is active, Export is switched off, and Comment Automations Performance is hidden if you filter by platform, post type or posts.
Refresh icon (3):Refresh analytics data loads fresh numbers instead of the cached ones.
Export (4): Download a PDF, an Excel file, a CSV per graph, or the raw comments as CSV (DM analytics: raw DMs as CSV).
Date range (5): See below.
Date range: Click the date range (5), choose a preset and click Apply. The presets are Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 3 months, Last 6 months, Month to date and Year to date. You can also pick your own days in the calendar. The longest range is 400 days. Daily charts use the timezone of your browser.
Change badge: The percentage next to a number compares it with the period of the same length directly before your range. Hover over it to see both values. Green is better, red is worse. For response times, a lower number is better.
Comment analytics: what each number means
Number or chart | What it counts |
Total Comments | Comments and reviews written by other people on your connected channels, counted on the day they were posted. Comments from your own page or account are not counted. |
Moderation Rate | The share of those comments that were handled. A comment counts as handled when it was answered, liked, hidden or deleted, by you, your team or an automation. Marking a comment as done alone does not count. |
Avg Response Time | The average time between a comment being posted and the first response to it: a reply, like, hide or delete, from a person or an automation. Only comments that were posted and answered inside your date range count. Marking as done does not count. It shows N/A until the first response is recorded. |
Sentiment Analysis | How many comments per day our AI rated Positive, Neutral or Negative. Comments the AI has not analysed are not shown. |
Tags | How often each tag was set on comments in your range. A comment with two tags counts once for each tag. |
Moderation Actions | Comments per day, split into All comments, Answered, Liked, Hidden and Deleted. The switch View has two modes: By moderation date counts every action on the day it was done. By comment date counts the outcome on the day the comment was created. |
Team Performance | One row per team member with Moderated, Answered, Hidden, Liked, Deleted, Done, Avg Response and Last Active. Automations and bulk actions get their own rows. |
Top Posts | Your posts ranked by the number of comments they received in the range, with sentiment, channel and post type. |
Social Media Channels | Comments per platform, split into Ad and Organic, with each platform's share. |
User Engagement | Total users and Total comments in the range, Average comments / user and Returning comments share. A comment counts as returning when the same person commented on an earlier day inside your range. It also shows how many people commented once, twice, up to 5 or more times, and your top 10 commenters. |
Time saved: how it is calculated
The Time saved section adds up the manual work that replient.ai took off your team. It uses fixed estimates for every successful action:
Action | Time saved per comment |
Comment answered by an automation | 40 seconds |
Reply you or your team posted in replient.ai | 30 seconds |
Comment hidden or liked | 20 seconds |
The categories add up. If an automation answers a comment and also likes it, both savings count. Failed and skipped actions add no time.
Example: 10 automated comments, 5 manual replies and 8 hidden or liked comments give 10 × 40 + 5 × 30 + 8 × 20 = 710 seconds, about 11 minutes and 50 seconds.
The section also shows the average per day (total divided by the days in your range) and the change compared with the previous period. "A workday" in the headline means 8 hours. These are estimates of avoided work, not measured working time.
Comment Automations Performance
Scroll to the end of Comment analytics to see how your comment automations run. The numbers cover the date range you picked.
Runs (period): Each recorded automation action counts as one run. An automation that likes and replies to one comment creates two runs. The runs are split into success, failed, skipped and pending.
Success rate: Successful runs divided by all runs. Skipped and pending runs are part of the total, so a high number of skipped actions lowers the rate.
Skipped: Actions that did not run, for example because the platform does not support them. Open an automation to see Why actions were skipped.
Comments processed: The number of different comments the automation worked on.
DM engagement: Messages sent by comment automations and how many were read (Read rate).
Click an automation to see its Action mix, Daily activity and DM performance. Use All, Active and Inactive to filter the list.
DM analytics: what each number means
Number or chart | What it counts |
New conversations | Brand-new conversations, counted once on the day the customer's first message arrived. Comment-to-DM conversations where the customer never replied are not counted. |
Messages received | Every DM your pages received in the range. |
Messages sent | Every DM sent from your pages: replies typed in replient.ai, messages from automations, comment-to-DM messages and messages sent from the Meta app. |
Avg response time | The average time between a customer's message and your first reply. Only reply cycles where both the message and the reply happened inside the range count. Comment-to-DM messages are not replies. |
Message volume | Received and sent messages per day, plus the share of sent messages that came from automations and Done vs new (conversations marked done divided by new conversations). |
DM time saved | Estimated work avoided: 40 seconds per automated or bulk DM, 30 seconds per inbox reply, 20 seconds per message or story like, 10 seconds per added tag and 5 seconds per conversation marked done or moved to open. Failed and skipped actions add no time. |
DM Automations Performance | Per automation: runs, Success rate (completed runs divided by completed plus failed runs), Read rate (messages read divided by messages sent) and Click rate (messages with a click divided by messages with a link). |
A comment-to-DM message counts in both places. Comment analytics values the comment work. DM analytics values the private message that went out.
Each step of a DM automation also shows its own numbers. Open the automation in the DM builder: the step cards show how many times the step started, completed or failed, and for message steps how many were sent and viewed.
Why is a number zero or missing?
A range without data looks like this: zero comments, a moderation rate of 0% and an average response time of N/A.
Go through this list:
The range is empty. The default range is the last 7 days. Choose Last 30 days or a longer preset.
A filter is active. Click the filter icon and then Reset filters.
You see cached data. Results are cached for up to 30 minutes. Click the refresh icon.
Your own comments are not counted. Test comments from your own account do not show up. Use a second account.
Response time shows N/A. A comment needs a response inside the range. Comments that are still open do not count.
Sentiment and tags are empty. The AI analyses every new comment. If your credits are used up, processing pauses and new comments are not analysed until credits are available again.
Time saved is zero. The section then shows Track your first time-saving milestone. Only successful actions count. Paused, failed and skipped automations add nothing.
Comment Automations Performance is empty. The automation had no runs in the range. The section is hidden while you filter by platform, post type or posts.
DM analytics is empty or missing. You need the Pro plan or higher. DMs only appear if they reach replient.ai. If another app handles your Instagram messages, see Why are my Instagram DMs not showing in replient.ai?. DM analytics covers Facebook and Instagram only.
