How do I connect a Facebook page?

Connect your Facebook page to replient.ai, and what to do if your page is not listed.

Written by Thomas Danninger

Short answer: Go to Learning → Add additional channels, click Facebook, log in to Facebook and allow access to all your pages, then choose your page and click Connect now. You can connect one Facebook page per brand. Personal profiles can’t be connected.

Before you start

  • Only the account owner can connect channels. Team members can’t.

  • You need admin access to the Facebook page you want to connect.

  • To see comments on your ads, you also need admin access to the ad account.

  • You connect a page, not a personal profile. You log in with your personal profile, but replient.ai manages the page.

Step 1: Open the channel list

In the sidebar, click Learning (1). Under Connected social media accounts (2), click Add additional channels (3).

Step 2: Click Facebook

Click Facebook (1). A green check on a tile means that channel is already connected.

Step 3: Authorize and log in

  1. The dialog Authorize Meta opens. Tick the checkbox for the terms and click Authorize. If you already connected Facebook before, replient.ai skips this step.

  2. Log in to Facebook with the profile that manages your page.

  3. When Facebook asks which pages to allow, choose All pages and future pages in every step. If Facebook shows your previous settings, click edit previous settings first.

Step 4: Choose your page

Back in replient.ai, the dialog Choose from your authorized accounts opens. Open the dropdown Page name, select your page and click Connect now.

A message shows Connecting channel… and then Channel connected successfully. Your page appears under Connected social media accounts. The badge shows Learning in progress while replient.ai imports your comments, then Active.

💡 Tip: Connect Facebook first if you also want Instagram. replient.ai then offers the Instagram account linked to that page. See How do I connect Instagram?.

My page is not listed

  1. Check your role. You need admin access to the page. Otherwise the page doesn’t show up in the dropdown.

  2. Reconnect with full access. In the dialog, click Reconnect Facebook. Log in again, click edit previous settings and choose All pages and future pages in every step. replient.ai shows a warning when too little access was granted.

  3. Page managed through a Meta business portfolio? Make sure your own Facebook profile has been given admin access to the page there. Ask the portfolio admin if needed.

  4. Right Facebook profile? Make sure you are logged in to the profile that manages the page, not to another one.

  5. Is it a personal profile? Personal profiles can’t be connected. Create a Facebook page for your business instead.

  6. Already connected? Pages that are already connected to this brand are hidden in the dropdown. Check Connected social media accounts.

Can I connect more than one page to a brand?

No. Each brand can have one Facebook page. For another page, create another brand and connect the page there. How many brands you can have depends on your plan. More in Can I connect multiple accounts from the same platform?.
