Manage comments on Facebook and Instagram partnership ads and co-posts

Written by Thomas Danninger

When you run collab posts or partnership ads with a creator, the comments land on the creator's Instagram or Facebook account - not yours. With replient.ai's Influencer partners feature, the creator connects their account once and replient automatically manages the comments on your partnership content only, while leaving the rest of their page untouched.

This guide explains how the feature works and how to set it up.

What this feature does

Once a creator is connected as an influencer partner, replient.ai watches only the comments on the posts you actually partner on:

  • Collab posts: posts the creator co-authored with your brand (an Instagram collaboration post).

  • Partnership ads: the creator's media that your brand boosted as a branded-content ad (you are the sponsor running the ad through the creator's handle).

Everything else on the creator's page - their organic posts, their DMs, mentions - is automatically ignored and never imported.

replient detects which posts are partnership posts for you on its own, so you don't tag anything manually and your inbox stays focused on the conversations that belong to your campaign.

Before you start

You'll need one of the following, depending on how you set things up:

  • If you're inviting the creator: the creator's exact Facebook Page name and/or Instagram handle (replient.ai verifies the connected account matches what you enter).

  • If you already manage the creator's page in your business manager: admin access to the creator's Pages, and your own Facebook account connected to replient.

Where to find it

1. Open the brand you want to manage.

2. In the left sidebar, go to Learning.

3. Scroll to the Influencer partners section.

From here you can invite creators, connect pages you manage, and see the status of every partner.

Two ways to connect a partner

Option 1: Invite the influencer (no admin access needed)

Use this when you don't administer the creator's account. You generate a secure link; the creator connects their own account.

  1. In Influencer partners, click Invite influencer.

  2. Under Which accounts?, choose Instagram, Facebook, or Both.

  3. Enter the creator's expected handle(s):

    1. Facebook page name (e.g. Their Page Name)

    2. Instagram handle (e.g. their.handle)
replient uses this to verify that the right partner - and only the right partner - can use the link.

  4. Choose how long the link stays valid.

  5. Click Generate link, then Copy and send it to the creator.

What the creator sees: Opening the link shows a branded consent screen explaining that your brand wants to manage comments on your partnership posts. The creator connects with one tap via Facebook or Instagram - no replient account required.

  • On Instagram, the creator decides - with an optional checkbox - whether your team may publish replies as them on partnership posts. If they leave it off, you can still hide and moderate spam; you just can't reply on their behalf (due to API limitations of Instagram).

  • On Facebook, replies always go out from your brand's own Page, so no special permission from the creator is needed to reply.

The creator can revoke access at any time, and the link expires on its own after the period you chose.

Option 2: Connect a page you manage (no invite needed)

Use this when you're already an admin on the creator's Facebook Page.

  1. In Influencer partners, click Connect a page.

  2. Pick the partner's Facebook Page from the list of pages you administer.

  3. If the page has a linked Instagram account, keep Also manage Instagram switched on to manage both.

  4. Click Connect page.

That's it - the partner is connected instantly, with no invite to send.

> If no pages appear, make sure you're an admin on the partner's Facebook Page and that your own Facebook account is connected to replient. Maybe you need to refresh your permissions - check out this article.

How partnership posts are detected

You don't have to mark anything. For every comment that arrives on a connected partner's page, replient checks whether the post is a partnership post:

  • Instagram: a post is a collab if your brand's account is an accepted collaborator on it. A post is a partnership ad if replient finds it among your brand's branded-content ads (replient scans your connected ad accounts to attribute the boosted media back to the creator).

  • Facebook: a post is a partnership post when it carries your brand's "Paid partnership" sponsor tag.

If a post is a partnership post, its comments are imported and managed as normal. If it isn't, the comment is skipped and never saved.

When your own brand Page comments on a partnership post, replient recognizes it as an admin comment and doesn't treat it as a customer comment that needs a reply.

Managing your partners

The Influencer partners table lists every partner and invite with a status:

  • Connected: the partner is active and replient is managing comments on their partnership posts.

  • Awaiting: an invite has been sent but not yet accepted. Use Copy link to resend it, or the trash icon to Revoke it.

  • Expired: the invite link lapsed. Generate a new one.

To stop managing a partner, click the trash icon on a connected row and confirm Disconnect. replient will stop managing comments on that partner's pages; you can invite them again later if needed.

Frequently asked questions

Will replient see the creator's organic posts or DMs?

No. On a partner connection, replient processes only comments on partnership posts (collab and sponsored). Organic posts, DMs, and mentions are ignored and never imported.

Do I have to tag which posts are partnership posts?

No. Detection is automatic from Instagram collaborator data, Facebook paid-partnership tags, and your branded-content ads.

Can I manage replies on Instagram without the creator's permission?

You can always hide and moderate spam. To publish replies as the creator on Instagram, the creator must grant reply consent when they accept the invite.

Does the creator need a replient account?

No. They only open the invite link and connect via Facebook or Instagram.

How do I stop managing a partner?

Open Learning → Influencer partners, click the trash icon on the connected partner, and confirm Disconnect.
